MedEfficio is a free online tool available to patients throughout the United States. It is used by patients prior to their office visit with the goal of helping them help you.
We encourage you to tell your patients about MedEfficio (www.medefficio.com). Tell them to use it before every visit. It's an easy way for your patients to prepare for their visit - - and leave your office feeling good about their doctor.
Developed with the assistance of many physicians and several leading medical institutions, MedEfficio uses over 6,000 interactive questionnaires to gather the patient's medical history.
MedEfficio gathers the patient's history by asking plain-language questions and presenting simple point-and-click answers. It then summarizes this information into robust clinical terminology that you are used to seeing. You receive a report with the information you need to help manage the exam-room portion of your patient's visit. The report also supports coding and documentation.
Depending on the length of interview selected by the patient, the system gathers different levels of detail for:
- History of present illness (HPI)
- Past, family, and social history
- Review of systems (ROS)
- Risk factors
Patients have the option of entering their medications, strengths, and dosages. MedEfficio works for:
